M.E.G.A. (Middle School Esports Gaming Association) is club about having fun and doing some good. To do this we host club events and a big gaming tournament called the MEGA Challenge for Charity. If you like Minecraft and playing multiplayer games, and you like the idea of doing something good with games, join us.
The MEGA C4C tournament is a battle where we will raise some money for some pretty cool causes. We will be playing Minecraft Bed Wars this season and we will break into two person teams and each team will pick a charity that they want to play for. You will also get a digital pledge page where friends and family can pledge support.
In the round-robin part of the tournament each team will have a chance to play every other team. Then the two teams with the best records will face off in a best of 5 finals. At the end, 75% of the funds collected will go to the charity selected by the winning team and 25% will go to the runner-up charity. They are all great charities so we can't lose.
Feb. 6th
The Challenge for Charity tournament begins the weekend of February 6th with the round-robin games.
Feb. 13th
The two teams with the highest record will then play in a best of five competition on February 13th. The finals will be streamed on Twitch.
You don’t have to be good at video games to join MEGA and it doesn’t cost anything. If you’ve never played Minecraft we’ll show you how. If you are a middle school student in orange county and want to know more, send an email to membership@megaesports.net and we will hit you back with more info.
